Brain Mush & Book Launch

You know those days, weeks, months when you’re working so hard and so fast that your mind pretty much becomes mush, and you can’t remember why you wanted to start a blog about a psychic trying to win the lottery because you have other things on your mind like, I don’t know, the book you have launching in a little less than three weeks?

Yes, I have a new book coming out on April 24th, called Searching for Sassy: An L.A. Phone Psychic’s Tales of Life, Lust & Love, which tells the story of my terrible breakup in New York, leaving behind my job in publishing and moving across the country to L.A., where there’s pretty much no publishing work. I fell backward into a job at a psychic line, where I found myself dispensing love advice to people just like me — the ones who were heartbroken, longing for connection and about to give up. Meanwhile, a colorful cast of fellow psychics took me under their wings and helped me see and accept this gift I’ve had since I was a child, but never claimed.

Here’s the cover:

Promise to go back to all things lottery soon. To date, I’m down $26, but back on the horse this week, with a little more focus on things other than books coming out and all the things that go along with that.
